The girl, whose name has not been released, died after being taken to a hospital.

She was crossing at Reed High School when she was hit. Sparks Police say it does not appear excessive speed was a factor in the crash; nor were alcohol or other drugs. Police continue to investigate.

Eastbound Baring Boulevard was closed from Sparks Boulevard to Sorensen Way following the crash about 8:22 p.m. October 18, 2018.
