Dump truck causes power outage in Sparks

SPARKS, NV (KOLO) - NV Energy confirms that a construction dump truck is responsible for an outage in Sparks.

A dump truck is blamed for a power outage in Sparks affecting some 7,000 customers.

The problem centers on a construction zone on El Rancho Drive and Elementary Drive near Teglia's Paradise Park.

At one point, more than 7,000 customers were without power.

Sparks Police advised drivers to treat intersections with no traffic lights as four-way stops.

Power has since been restored.
