Woman injured following fire at the Lucky Motel on 4th St.

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Reno Fire Department extinguished a fire at the Lucky Motel on 4th Street.

It broke out around 2:30PM Tuesday, October 1, 2019.

Officials tell KOLO 8 News Now, a woman was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries after witnesses say she jumped from a second-story window and landed on a car.

No other occupants were injured, one firefighter suffered burns to his leg and is being treated.

Reno Fire says people in 23 units are displaced, because crews are unable to secure the electric.

The RFD Chaplin and motel owner are working to relocate the displaced residents to a nearby motel.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Reno Fire Prevention Bureau at 775-334-2300
