Highway 20 in Placer County back open after tanker crash

Highway 20 west of I-80 in Placer County is back open after a tanker crash Wednesday morning.
The road was closed for more than 35 hours while crews repaired the pavement damaged by the flames.
The Sacramento Bee reports both the driver of the tanker and the pickup truck involved died.

The Nevada Highway Patrol and Truckee Meadows Fire are investigating a crash between a truck and a passenger car. Northbound lanes of Pyramid Highway have reopened at Egyptian Drive, north of La Posada/Eagle Canyon.
Truckee Meadows Fire says this was an extrication crash, with NHP reporting injuries, but there is no word yet how many or how serious. The crash was reported about 3:15PM January 31, 2018.
NHP is also reporting lanes are back open following a crash at the Sheckler Cut-Off in Fallon, along SR-117 at Power Line Road. A dump truck hauling a crane turned over; no injuries are reported.
