SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) -- After a more than a year of construction, officials at Wild Island Family Adventure Park announced the Coconut Bowl expansion is complete and will be open to the public December 13, 2018.
The expansion, which is 50,000 square feet, includes new attractions such as six additional bowling lanes, private party rooms, an outdoor patio and seating area with a food truck, a two-story laser tag arena, and black light go-karts with a custom painted course.
This expansion has brought a lot of firsts to the state of Nevada, including the first-ever ticket redemption store that serves a state-of-the art arcade.
“We have worked hard to keep the expansion timeline on schedule and are very excited to reveal the new attractions and upgrades to the public,” says Craig Buster, Coconut Bowl general manager. “We’ve worked tirelessly on every detail of this expansion including hiring specialized artists to design and paint our black light go-kart course. This is truly a huge win for our region and we can’t wait for it to be open.”
Buster says the expansion places Wild Island among the top five largest family entertainment centers in the country.
