A Celebration of life funeral service will be held on Monday for a Carson city teenager who passed away from his injuries from a rollover crash that injured several teenagers on Kings Canyon Road on November 9th.
The service will be held at Calvary Chapel to remember Timothy Jones, 16, who died on November 26. Jones was a junior at Carson high school. He played baseball, was an honor student, and was an older brother to 3 younger siblings.
The community of Carson city rallied together in the wake of his death, and for the families affected by the accident.
If you would like to help, the
has made bows with "#Carsonstrong" written on them. Store owners David and Diana Smith are selling bows for $10 a piece. All the proceeds will go to the families affected by the crash.
"If something so sad happened to me last night, I would like to know my community is there for me." said Diana.
David said they want to help in any way they can.
"Because it affected so many people in the community and both our children went to Carson High School, we have a senior there now; We felt if we can help in any way possible, we wanted to do so," said David.
The store made 500 bows and are looking to sell them all so they could raise $5,000. So far, 70 bows have been sold.
A
