The event starts at 10:00 a.m. at the Nevada State Museum. Chinese dance demonstrations and crafts will take over the Dema Guinn Concourse. This will include the traditional lion dance. The activities will be followed by a short parade from the museum concourse to the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada at 11:00 a.m.
Festivities will continue at the children's museum and will include crafts for kids. A performance of the Reno Taiko Drummers is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
The program at the Nevada State Museum is free to the public. Admission to the museum is $8 and free to museum members and children 17 years old and younger.
Admission to the festivities at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada is free for museum members, $6 for adults and $4 for children 2 and younger.
