Suspect accused of passing counterfeit $100 bill turns himself in

CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO)-- UPDATE: The Carson City Sheriff's Office says the suspect in the case has turned himself in to authorities.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Carson City Sheriff’s Office released photos of a man it said used a counterfeit $100 bill Wednesday at The Glass Shop in Carson City.

The sheriff’s office said the man passed the fake bill about 10:50 a.m. to pay for his transaction. The sheriff’s office described him as white with short brown hair and a beard and he wore a red shirt and red pants.

Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call Deputy Martha Tschetter at 775-887-2020 ext. 45401, Sergeant Mike Cullen or Secret Witness at 775-322-4900 or go to www.secretwitness.com. People who give tips to Secret Witness can remain anonymous.
