CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) - The Carson City Sheriff’s Office has arrested two boys in connection with a burglary.

During the early morning hours of January 10, 2018, at least one burglar broke into the Fairview Market on the corner of Fairview and Saliman. Investigators say the burglar(s) entered the business through a window, and evidence indicated a significant injury was sustained at the scene. Property was taken from inside the store.

Detectives followed evidence including a blood trail to Eastwood Drive off Colorado Street ending near Pinebrook Drive in Carson City. Evidence indicated the burglar(s) could be small adults or juveniles.

Investigators identified two boys from surveillance video from a nearby elementary school and found them on the 1700 block of Myles Drive. Evidence from the burglary was recovered, and one of the teens had injuries consistent with the blood found trailing from the scene. The injuries did not require hospitalization.

A 13-year-old Carson City boy and a 14-year-old Reno boy were booked into the Carson City Juvenile Detention Facility on burglary charges.
