CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO)-- A Carson City man was arrested Friday by the Tri-County Gang Unit on suspicion of drug trafficking, possession of a stolen gun, being an ex-felon with a gun and other drug charges.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office said Gregory Allen Kelly Jr., 32, had more than 12 ounces of methamphetamine in his car and in his home.

The gang unit, which consists of peace officers from Lyon and Douglas counties and Carson City, pulled over Kelly in his vehicle just before 6 p.m. in Carson City on Friday, the sheriff’s office said. A drug dog detected about an ounce of methamphetamine in Kelly’s vehicle.

The gang unit got a warrant to search his home in the 1800 block of East Long Street and investigators found more methamphetamine, a stolen .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol, $1,400 in cash, drug paraphernalia and other drug-related items.
