California fugitive arrested in Reno

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office and the Yolo County, CA, Sheriff's Office worked together to locate and arrest a robbery suspect in Reno.

Jamonta Lamar Simonton, 23, was arrested on Monday, September 9, 2019 in the area of South Virginia Street and East Patriot Street in Reno.

Simonton is believed to be one of three people who allegedly robbed the employees of a legal marijuana cultivation site in Woodland, CA at gun point. The gunman are believed to have taken about 180 pounds of marijuana.

Simonton is currently being held on unrelated charges in the Washoe County Jail.
