SPANISH SPRINGS, Nev. (KOLO)-- 4:15 p.m. Sierra Front Dispatch Center reports the fire at the south end of Spanish Springs Valley is about 50 acres.

3:26 p.m. Sierra Front Dispatch Center estimates the fire at the south end of Spanish Springs Valley has grown to 40 acres.

2:20 p.m. update: Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Sparks Fire Department and the Bureau of Land Management are on scene at the fire.

It is burning in a steep area at the south end of Spanish Springs Valley behind Golden Eagle Park.

Sierra Front Fire Dispatch Center reports it is a half acre.
