The Bravo 17 Fire Fire broke out about 4:30PM July 12, 2017, south of Fairview Peak, in Churchill County.

the Bureaui of Land Management says the fire started on a bombing range at Naval Air Station Fallon and spread east onto BLM land.

There fire is about 50% contained, and that number is expected to last well into the summer, according to BLM. That's because BLM has no access to NAS land, and the Navy is working its own portion of the fire. But there is no active flame and two BLM engines are patrolling the area for hot spots, and are available to be called away for other fires.
