Bicyclist seriously injured in crash with RTC bus

SPARKS, NV (KOLO)-- A bicyclist was seriously injured Saturday night after being hit by a Regional Transportation Commission bus at the Legends at the Sparks Marina shopping center, the Sparks Police Department said.

The injuries to the woman were not life-threatening, police said. It happened about 8:45 p.m. at the roundabout at East Lincoln Way and Legends Bay Drive.

The bus driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.

RTC spokesman Michael Moreno said there were passengers on the bus and no passengers were hurt. The RTC arranged to get the passengers to their destinations.
