The Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health confirms the state is investigating 17 cases of suspected salmonella from the Gold Dust West in Elko.
Spokeswoman Martha Framsted tells KOLO 8 News Now that the state has not closed the property, and she has not confirmed whether anyone has been hospitalized. She says the business is cooperating with the investigation.
The state has been in Elko investigating since March 11, 2019. The Centers for Disease Control is not involved.
