Kiwanis Club holds child safety fundraiser

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The Kiwanis Club of Downtown Sparks, along with Great Basin Brewery, 39 North and Port of Subs, and hosting an event called Pairings for PTP Fundraiser for Child Safety.

Appetizers from TMCC and Job Corps culinary programs, and from community supporters, will be paired with alcoholic (wine, beer and spirits) and non-alcoholic beverages from local and regional wineries and Great Basin Brewery. Join the community for a night of tasting, a silent auction with a great variety of items, and entertainment.

When: Friday, March 15, 2019 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Where: Taps and Tanks at 1155 South Rock Blvd., Reno, NV

Why: Pairings for PTP is being held to support Pediatric Trauma Prevention in our community.

Kiwanis Club of Downtown Sparks provides child safety and health programs to more than 2,500 youth in the community. Programs include teaching bicycling (riding, repair and helmet safety) through camps, clubs and clinics, and providing dolls for local hospitals. Pairings for PTP will fund enhancements of these programs through improved programming at their bike shop and at community events.
