Lemmon Valley brush fire controlled

LEMMON VALLEY, NV (KOLO)-- A fire near the back of Lemmon Valley grew to about 3.4 acres before firefighters stopped it from growing more, according to Sierra Front Interagency Wildfire Cooperators.

The fire was called controlled on Sunday morning.

The Estates Fire was reported at 3:47 p.m. Saturday and burned in grass and heavy sagebrush, Sierra Front reports.

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District responded. There is no word on a cause.
