CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO)- Back-to-back earthquakes struck near Carson City early Thursday, December 20, 2018.
According to the Nevada Seismological Laboratory, the first quake was a magnitude 3.6 at 5:24 a.m. A second struck six minutes later and was a magnitude 3.4. Both earthquakes were centered about 5 miles south southeast of Carson City.
Several viewers have called the KOLO 8 News Now newsroom saying shaking woke them up. They say the quakes felt like quick, powerful jolts.
There are no reports of damage.
