SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO)-- The Flag Store in Sparks will look a little different this weekend. The 10th annual Made in Nevada Holiday Marketplace is set to take over the store. Several vendors from across northern Nevada will set up shop at the store to showcase and sell their locally-made products.

"We take the majority of our store and put it in a warehouse and we bring in 20 or so vendors and allow them to sell their wares," said Eric Smith, vice president of the Flag Store.

Customers will discover authentic and unique art, gifts, food and other goods all produced and crafted by Nevadans in Nevada. Hundreds of products will be on display. The event will also feature food, wine and gourmet samples.

"Sometimes this is the only time of year they can sell their stuff, and this gives them an opportunity to do exactly that, and to get a lot of exposure they otherwise wouldn't get," Smith said.

This years vendors include Art Cards, Tahoe Toffee, Nakara Soaps, KLG Spices, Jonesey's BBQ, Lattin Farms, Campie's Lavendar Patch, Italian Hearts, Killer Salsa, Nevada Brining Company, Pigeon Head Brewery, Nevada Sunset Winery, Mary Jean Kelso Children's Books, Amato's Family Kitchen, Battle Born Nevada Trivia, Nevada Shape Gift Baskets, Jerky Junction, Kimmie Candy, Tillie's Stuffed Olives, Battle Born Gourmet, Great Basin Brewing, and Pasquale Handmade Neckties.

"I've lived in the area for 59 years, and we come here every Christmas and all the holidays to find gifts for family and friends, Nevada made," Lonnie Thomas, a Sparks resident, said.

The Holiday Marketplace is Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Flag Store, Sign and Banner, located at 155 Glendale Ave. in Sparks. Admission is free. For more information, call 775-355-0506.
