RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Washoe County School District says it has a serious shortage of Nutrition Services Workers and it's looking for applicants.
There are currently 55 open positions.
Nutrition Services Worker I employees generally work three to four hours per day. It is an on-call position with daily assignments and can be assigned to a specific school for a longer period. The district says these positions often lead to more permanent positions and assignments.
There will be Nutrition Services Worker Information Sessions on Tuesday, October 1 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. These sessions will be held at 1150 Matley Lane in the Truckee Lab. The district will have representatives from WCSD Nutrition Services and Human Resources to answer questions and provide information.
Interested applicants are encouraged to attend one of these sessions to fill out an application. Also, applicants will be asked to provide four professional references with names, telephone numbers, and email addresses.
