The Road Ahead with RTC: Free RIDE to Pride

By  |

SPONSORED: The RTC is your free RIDE to Pride this weekend. The RTC is offering free transit rides all day this Saturday, July 27, to help people get to and from Northern Nevada Pride festivities. All regularly scheduled routes will be free.

It’s a great idea to plan your trip in advance. Just go online to rtcwashoe.com and use the trip planner or click on routes and schedules. Not all locations are served by transit so the RTC encourages everyone to check routes and schedules at rtcwashoe.com.

People attending the 8th annual CommUNITY Pride Parade can ride to RTC 4TH STREET STATION and walk over to Virginia Street to watch and enjoy the parade. People attending the Pride Festival at Wingfield Park can take RTC Route 6 or Route 16.

The RTC is encouraging the community to Don’t Drive, Arrive! to special events in our community this summer. There are plenty of alternatives to driving your car to events, including walking, biking, using rideshare, or taking transit.

The RTC is always looking for new opportunities to introduce transit to new audiences and this is just one of many free RIDE events throughout the year. The RTC supports diversity in our community and Northern Nevada Pride’s vision to build a safe and supportive community where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together.
