Local non-profit hosting Christmas pajama drive

RENO, Nev. -- (KOLO) It’s a nonprofit that collects pajamas for kids in our community. It started in 2015 and has since donated more than 1500 pairs of pajamas.

The goal is to help children feel warm and safe when going through difficult times…such as adoption or leaving a toxic environment. Project Sweet Dreams work with almost a dozen other organizations such as Safe Embrace, The Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation and more.

“I show up with a big container of pajamas and they'll say the pajama lady is here! They get really excited and the feedback that we get from foster parents and the organization administrators are that the kids just love getting these cozy pajamas every year. That's what makes us keep doing it, we just love it,” President Alison Ormaas exclaims.

It serves newborns all the way to young adults. Adult sizes are requested for teenagers but please you're asked to keep the designs child appropriate. The donation drive runs until Christmas.
You can drop off the pjs at the Washoe County District Attorney's Office or give financially.
