RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Seven Northern Nevada non-profit organizations have been selected as Pillar Partners of KOLO-TV’s KOLOCares initiative. KOLO-TV will work with each partner throughout 2019, providing on-air and online promotional support for their fundraising events and help to inform Northern Nevada residents of these worthwhile organizations’ mission to benefit the community.
“Our goal is to expand the popular KOLOCares brand to help showcase community organizations seeking to advance their missions, showcase their events, and increase local fundraising,” says Matt Eldredge, KOLO-TV’s general manager.
The following organizations were selected as KOLOCares Pillars Partners for the 2019 calendar year:
All non-profit organizations in northern Nevada can benefit from KOLOCares in one way or another; these include posting on the KOLOCares Community Calendar, promotion through social media – KOLO-TV and KOLOCares Facebook and Twitter, and possible on-air fundraising event coverage.
The KOLOCares Pillar partners will receive expanded promotion via KOLO-TV’s on air and online resources. The organizations chosen were selected from a pool of dozens of local non-profits through a grant-like process.
Any non-profit organization in the northern Nevada area is welcome and encouraged to utilize the KOLOCares resources to help promote their organizations, inform the viewing public and submit information on their charities.
