Denise Wong was named the KOLO 8 News Now evening-co-anchor in May 2018 after being named weekend anchor in 2016, but she's not new to Northern Nevada. In fact, this is the second time she's worked at KOLO and couldn't be more thrilled to raise her family here. This is home.
With nearly 20 years of experience in TV news, Denise has followed her career around the country. She has covered everything from the 2008 presidential election in Washington, DC to the deadly nightclub shooting at Bally's on the Las Vegas Strip. Most recently, she reported for KOVR/CBS13 in Sacramento, where she covered numerous stories on the drought.
Denise graduated from UCLA, majoring in both Communication Studies and Psychology. She holds a master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Boston University. She is married to Good Morning Reno anchor Josh Little. They live in northwest Reno with their young son and pit bull. In their spare time, they love to ski, try out different restaurants in the region and take part in many of the outdoor events that make Reno such a wonderful place to live. When she's alone, she likes to eat sugary cereal and watch sappy Hallmark Channel movies.
