Get to know Rebecca!
Rebecca is a fourth-generation native Nevadan. After graduating from Carson High School, she went on to pursue a broadcast degree from the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno.
KOLO has always been a part of Rebecca's life- it was the station she watched with her family around the dinner table, and the station that first taught her to love the news. Rebecca joined the KOLO 8 News Now team in 2011 as an intern. Over the past few years, she has worked her way up through various positions- starting as video editor, then reporter, and now she has accomplished her goal of becoming an anchor.
Rebecca has had countless experiences reporting for KOLO. Highlights include traveling on Honor Flight Nevada with her grandfather and other veterans, and covering the 2016 Little Valley Fire, for which she earned an Emmy nomination.
Rebecca has a love for history and dance. When she's not at work, she is exploring the area on hikes, cooking, and waiting for winter! You can catch her on KOLO 8 News Now on Good Morning Reno from 4:30-7AM and Midday at 11AM.
