What to say...what to say...

I love Reno! I moved to Reno in 2013 from Medford, OR. Since moving here I've met some amazing people, one of them being my husband! Before I get too far ahead of myself, I'll start with some background.

I was born and raised in the small town of The Dalles, OR. The town was home to around 11, 000 people when I lived there. It's grown slightly and still has yellow flashing lights through town on Sundays. It was a fun place to grow up and I try to visit as much as I can, especially since my parents still live there.

After high school, I moved to Eugene, OR, to become a Duck. Go Ducks! I graduated from the University or Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. I always knew I wanted to work in television news, but it wasn't until my first job that I found my passion for weather.

After graduation, I accepted a job at KTVL in Medford, OR. I was initially hired as a production assistant where I helped out mostly behind the scenes doing things like floor directing or running tapes. After a few months, a reported position opened up and I gladly accepted it! My very first story as a reporter was on a pretty big fire that destroyed a ski lodge near Mt. Ashland. Eventually, I transitioned to weekend weather and finally the morning meteorologist position where I worked for 6 years. (Yes, I've been getting up this early for years!)

In 2013, I moved to Reno to work as the morning meteorologist here at KOLO. I quickly learned how active and fun this community was! There are so many fun things to do and events to attend during the summer. I knew this would be my home for awhile.

I met my husband, Brian, in 2014. We got married in June of 2017 at Red Hawk Golf course. We both love golfing and try to get out as much as possible. We have one puppy, Mando, who keeps us very busy!
