Good Morning Reno Reporter
Elizabeth Rodil was born and raised in the City of Angels and grew up in the suburb of Bellflower, California. She received her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Broadcasting at California State University Long Beach and graduated Cum Laude.
During her undergraduate career, she interned at KTLA Channel 5 as an Assignment Desk intern where she found her love for news.
Elizabeth decided to pursue her education and received her Masters in Digital Journalism from National University in San Diego, California.
In October of 2015, she landed her first on-air job with FOX 23, WHPM-TV in Hattiesburg, Mississippi as a Multi-Media Reporter. Elizabeth grew familiar with the Magnolia state and reported on a variety of stories from crime, weather, feature, sports, and spot news. She covered controversial Mississippi news such as House Bill 1523 and the state flag.
After two years in Mississippi Elizabeth reported at FOX 10, WALA in Mobile, Alabama as a dayside Reporter. It was a dual market that spanned along the Gulf Coast which included Pensacola, Florida. She covered feature stories, politics, crime, and a lot of weather.
She was involved in CSULB's Greek system and was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority.
Since Elizabeth lived most of her life minutes away from the beautiful California beaches she used to lifeguard and loves seafood. She is a dog-mom and spends a lot of her time with her dogs Kobe and Denna.
When she isn’t working you can catch her swimming, trying new restaurants, or attempting to finish a local 5k run. Elizabeth is excited to explore Reno and be part of the Good Morning Reno team!
