Police investigating deadly Stead shooting

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - 8:00 a.m. Update: The Reno Police Department is releasing more details about an incident on Lagoon Court Thursday night. According to RPD, officers were called about a shooting at a home on Lagoon Drive. Investigators say officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Investigators believe the shooting was done in self defense, and no arrest has been made. Everyone involved in the incident remained on the scene and are cooperating with police.

Police went to the area before 7 p.m. Several police vehicles are there and there is crime tape set up.

Police are not releasing information about what happened there.
