Reno Police: Shooting suspect arrested

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - 5:00 P.M. UPDATE: Jesce Richt has been arrested. According to Reno Police, he was located during a traffic stop and taken into custody in the Las Vegas area around 4 p.m. on Monday. No other details were available.
APRIL 24 UPDATE: The Reno Police Department says that Richt is still being sought in this shooting, and that he is also going by the name Paul Watterson.
The 40-year-old is wanted for open murder.

6:05 P.M. UPDATE: The woman killed Tuesday near Verdi has been identified as Jessica Griffin, 40, of Reno.
The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office said Griffin died after being shot several times.
9:10 A.M. UPDATE: The Reno Police Department says this incident was a shooting with a single victim.
REMSA and RPD attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful. The victim, described as a 40-year-old woman, was declared dead on the scene.
RPD has identified 40-year-old Jesce Richt as the suspect in this case. RPD also says the two parties were known to each other.

ORGINAL STORY: Reno homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death in the 8300 block of Castletroy Drive.
The emergency call for help was made Tuesday, April 18 in the evening.
Police don’t believe the act was random and say there is no threat to the public.
