Cause of Panther Valley fire that killed one still under investigation

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - JULY 3 UPDATE: The cause of a fire that killed one Saturday night in Panther Valley remains under investigation Sunday morning, the Reno Fire Department said.

The fire on Sagehen Lane was reported about 9:51 p.m. and the first fire truck arrived within six minutes. Crews pulled out a man and provided medical assistance, along with REMSA, but he could not be revived.

Damage to the single-wide trailer was limited to the room and its contents.

ORIGINAL STORY: A man is dead following a fire at a mobile home in North Reno.

It happened Saturday about 9:51 p.m. on Sagehen Lane in Panther Valley.

Fire crews say they believe the man who was killed was the only occupant.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
