Washoe sheriff investigates shooting near Wadsworth

WADSWORTH, Nev. (KOLO) - The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting near Wadsworth.

They responded to Olinghouse on a report of a subject who had been shot, but when deputies arrived on scene, it was unclear who that person was.

After nearly an hour, family members were able to convince the victim to meet with deputies.

The victim was cooperative at first but was unwilling to discuss what transpired or assist in identifying a suspect in the shooting, the sheriff’s office said.

The victim refused any medical treatment or to be transported to the hospital.
