Suspect accused of intentionally starting two wildland fires in SLT

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (KOLO) - The South Lake Tahoe Police Department arrested a suspect accused of intentionally setting two wildland fires.
The first fire was reported just before 1 a.m. at Al Tahoe Boulevard near Murietta Drive.
Officers extinguished the fire and determined it had been intentionally set.
The South Lake Tahoe Fire Department responded to a second wildland fire a quarter mile away on Pioneer Trail. The suspect tried to hide in the brush, but officers found him and arrested him.
He was identified as Isaac Escalera, a recent transient to the South lake Tahoe area.
Escalera was booked into the El Dorado County Jail for two counts of Arson to Forest Land.
