Dress for Success thanks community for continued support
RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - As 2021 begins, a local non-profit is reflecting on this past year and wants to say thank you to the community for the continued support during the pandemic.
Our Kolo Cares Pillar Partner, Dress For Success, has not paused when it comes to assisting women searching for jobs to better their lives and their families, and neither have you.
Founder and CEO Patti Weiske tells us that women continue to call and ask about volunteer opportunities, and are generously donating money and making sure no one is left behind. “There are a lot of women in the community that are working that just don’t even have enough clothes to work in. So, I know that women lift other women up and they see the benefit of giving their clothing out to us,” Weiske states.
The weekly clothing sale resumes as a fundraiser with an added day on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 starting at 10 a.m. at Arlington Towers. You can stuff a bag with designer quality clothes for just $25.
This is a huge year for Dress for Success. Reno Engineering graciously donated space at Arlington Towers rent and utility free for three years! The organization must vacate due to new ownership by February 1st.
If you can help guide leaders to a new commercial space with no less than 2,500 square feet and accessible to public transportation, send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
