A brief warm-up through the end of the week. Then another strong system moves in for the weekend.

From chilly highs in the upper fifties on Wednesday... will gradually warm into the mid seventies by Friday.

But just in time for the weekend... another strong trough of low pressure dives into the Silver State from Canada. This will bring more clouds and strong winds to western Nevada by Saturday afternoon.

Once again there will a chance for rain and snow showers Saturday evening into Sunday. Not much in terms of significant moisture with this system... but a lot of cold air will likely drop snow levels to the valley floor by Sunday morning.

The trough lingers into the start of the work week.
