After the most powerful series of storms of the season... a break in our stormy pattern as we head into the weekend.

Several days of stormy weather have left the Sierra with six plus feet of new snow. Now a break as we head through the next few days.

Weak systems will ride over us to the north... bringing a slight chance for showers on Friday and again on Monday morning. But I would expect to see very little in terms of accumulating snow here in Western Nevada... and very small amounts in the Sierra.

The weekend is actually looking nice. Partly cloudy and mild Saturday and Sunday.

If you were wondering what all of that mountain snow did for our snowpack... hydrologists say we recieved the month of March's snowfall in just three days. And the snowpack is now near 90 percent.

A few more significant storms through the end of March and we could end the snow year at close to average amounts.

Have a great rest of the week.

Chris
