WICHITA, KS - The Wolf Pack knocked off Wichita State 74-70 in the opening round of the National Invitational Tournament on Wednesday night.

Luke Babbitt scored 17 of his game-high 23 points in the second half to pace Nevada. Armon Johnson added 15 points, while Dario Hunt chipped in 10 points and sevenm rebounds.

It was the first home loss this season for the Shockers, who came into the game a perfect 17-0 at Charles Koch Arena.

Nevada advances to face Rhode Island in the second round of the NIT. The Rams (24-9) beat Northwestern 76-64 in their opening round game.

The game will be hosted by Rhode Island.
