EUGENE, Ore. --The Wolf Pack women’s tennis team lost to Sacramento State by a final score of 5-2 Saturday.

The Hornets were ranked No. 59 going into the match with the Wolf Pack and defeated No. 72 Oregon Friday. Nevada will play the Ducks on Sunday.

The Pack failed to win the doubles point when the teams of Lais Otaga and Aline Laurioux and Florence De Vrye and Emma Verberne lost their matches.

In singles, Maria Mizyuk and Aline Laurioux won, but their victories could not stop the red-hot Hornets from taking the remaining four matches.

After taking the doubles point, Sacramento State won at Nos. 1, 4, 3 and 5 in singles play.
