T-storms Friday and hot at 95!

The heatwave is here and at least one record temperature could go down. Wind and even a little rain coming later in the forecast.

Two lightning-sparked blazes have merged in a mountainous southwestern New Mexico forest to become the largest wildfire in state history.

Tropical Storm Beryl already was wrecking some Memorial Day weekend plans on Sunday, sending shoreline campers packing to head inland and canceling some events in the southeastern U.S.

Hurricane Bud weakened Friday as it headed toward a string of laid-back beach resorts and small mountain villages on Mexico's Pacific coast south of Puerto Vallarta. Two people, one of them from France, were reported missing in a separate storm in Cuba.

As smoke from a massive blaze in the southwestern New Mexico wilderness spread across the state Friday, health officials as far away as Albuquerque and Santa Fe warned residents to limit outdoor activity over Memorial Day weekend due to growing air-quality concerns.

With an active wildfire burning, a red flag warning is not a welcome sight today. The strong wind is in front of a very cold storm moving in.

The Topaz Ranch Estates fire is now fully contained.

Another windy day ahead for Thursday as a strong cold front moves into the region. Winds will gust upwards of 40 mph during the afternoon and evening. A Red Flag Fire Warning has been issued... and is in effect from 11 am to 11pm on Thursday. Much colder with rain showers possible on Friday.

The Topaz Ranch Estates Fire continues to burn. Temperatures take a huge dive as we head into the holiday weekend, then rebound quickly.

Mainly sunny, cooler and breezy again on Wednesday. Much cooler with a chance for rain and mountain snow showers on Friday.

Our high temperatures get lower and lower and the week goes on. Memorial day weekend we are all over the place.
