Winter Weather Advisory Expires, More Light Snow to Come

RENO, Nev. -- More snow fell in northwestern Nevada valleys Saturday night into Sunday morning. Snow plows and crews were out early Sunday to clear roads and repair damaged lines.

That Winter Weather Advisory expired at 10am Sunday, but light snow is still expected to fall off and on in the greater Reno-Carson City-Minden areas plus Virginia City, Silver Springs, Lovelock, Pyramid Lake, Fernley, and Fallon.

Those with travel plans should prepare for winter driving conditions and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

The overnight weather dropped into western Nevada, bringing with it another round of snow showers to the region. Snow accumulated overnight with temperatures well below freezing, causing slick and icy roads into Sunday.
