RENO, NV - A strong cold front moved through the Truckee Meadows around 2:30 this morning. It brought with it a mix of rain and snow and an end to the strongest wind gusts. It also brought cold air.
The next several afternoons we will struggle to get into the lower 50°s each day. Overnight lows will be at or below freezing for the next several mornings as well.
Thursday afternoon we have a least a slight chance for snow showers. The snow will not be very widespread. In the Sierra we could even get a clap of thunder as we go through Thursday.
Things don't really turn around until the weekend. By Easter Sunday we will have temperatures back into the upper 60°s. Perfect Easter egg hunting weather!
