RENO, NV - Aside from some smoke and haze drifting into our area from fires burning in northern California, the weather pattern will stay dry and quiet through the week. Wednesday the weather will cool a few degrees, and then a few degrees more by Thursday, as a trough of low pressure swings through the Pacific Northwest. The weekend looks warm and quiet, with a closed low off the coast and a weak westerly flow. At this point, the weather looks good this year (at least no major signals to suggest a problem) for Great Reno Balloon Race Weekend. Early next week, another trough will bring wind and another cool-down our way. -Jeff
