RED FLAG WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT FROM 1-9PM WEDNESDAY AND 11 AM TO 8 PM THURSDAY FOR THE WESTERN NEVADA SIERRA FRONT...
A weather pattern change is coming our way. With a trough dipping into the Pacific Northwest, the atmospheric flow will become westerly-southwesterly starting on Wednesday. While this will take thunderstorms out of the forecast through the weekend and cool the temperatures around 10 degrees, breezy to windy afternoons will result. With the dry conditions, that means extreme fire weather danger for the next few days for the area. Red Flag Warnings are up for the Sierra Front on Wednesday, and area-wide on Thursday. This pattern will persist through early next week. -Jeff
