Stormy weather returns to the region as a series of Pacific systems will affect the area through early next week. The first storm will bring Sierra snow and valley wind and rain-snow showers through Wednesday. Snow levels will likely briefly fall to valley floors early Wednesday, but little accumulation is likely below foothill-level (5500'). Totals of 2-5" at Lake Tahoe and 5" to a foot above 7000' are likely through early Thursday. -Jeff
