RENO, NV - *Winter Weather Advisory in effect for the Sierra from 4 PM Wednesday through 10 AM Thursday*

Two storms are on the way. Carry chains above 6000' through the weekend. Storm #1 will push into the region late Wednesday. Snow levels will start above 7000', falling overnight into Thursday morning. In the Sierra, 12-18" of snow is expected above 7000', with 3-6" possible at lake level. Valleys will see some rain and snow, but little if any accumulation. Storm #2 will move through on Friday, with more Sierra snow possible, and valley rain and snow showers. The weekend looks unsettled and showery, but without significant additional snow and rain. -Jeff
