RENO, NV - The summer heat will be intense for the next few days, with the highest temperatures expected on Tuesday. In that heat, thunderstorms are expected to pop in the afternoon-evening hours. Lightning and gusty wind with cells will create extreme fire weather concerns where they develop and track. By Wednesday, a trough in the Pacific Northwest will bring a southwesterly flow and breezy, drier conditions. Temperatures will also not be as hot, with highs in the mid 90s expected by Independence Day. -Jeff
