RENO, NV - A cold front is moving through brining wind gusts up to about 45mph in Reno. Ridge top gusts will be closer to 75mph. Those strong winds mixed with snow on the top of Mt. Rose highway making driving conditions treacherous. The wet weather is slowly drying as the wind cranks up this afternoon.
By Friday morning many valley floor locations will see low temperatures around freezing. If you took advantage of the record breaking heat last weekend by planting in the garden, be sure to cover those sensitive plants.
