RENO, NV - This afternoon wind gusts will reach 30mph in Reno and up to 40mph in the foothills. Because of that wind and dry conditions, a red flag warning has been issued for most of western Nevada. There is no lightning in the forecast, but human caused fire is always a threat.
The wind will pick up each afternoon at least through the weekend. Our temperatures get a little cool by Saturday with highs only in the 70°s.
With the exception of NE California on Friday, it looks like the forecast will stay dry.
