RENO, NV - Temperatures today will be comfortable. Not as warm as yesterday, but still very nice. Expect mid-50°s this afternoon with plenty of sunshine and not a lot of wind.
Friday gets even warmer as the next cold front approaches. Ahead of the front we will see strong wind gusts. Late Friday evening winds could gust as high as 45mph in Reno and 60mph in the more wind prone areas like Washoe Valley and the North Valleys. Ridge top gusts will be over 100mph.
The front will bring a chance for rain and snow late Friday night into Saturday. There is not a lot of moisture with this system. Snow accumulation will be limited to a couple inches at the most in the high Sierra.
Behind the front we see much colder air. Expect about a week of high temperatures in the 40°s.
