Friday Weather On The Web

RENO, NV - Some light breezes this afternoon should thin out the smoke a bit, but won't totally remove the haze. By tonight the heavy smoke settles back in over the Truckee Meadows.

Tomorrow will bring several changes. Wind from the north will push the smoke north. New fire threats increase as dry lightning storms move from south of highway 50 in the early afternoon to far northern Nevada late Saturday night.

Sunday is our best chance for thunderstorms. There is enough moisture to produce localized heavy rain Sunday afternoon. Despite more storms the fire threat might actually go down a bit Sunday because of the lack of dry lightning.
