RENO, NV - An unseasonably cool low pressure trough will drop south into the Silver State on Saturday. With the cold front, cooler temperatures, clouds, wind, and a few showers will result east of the Sierra Crest and south to about Highway 50 by evening. While Mother's Day will be a little warmer with much less wind, it will still be cooler than average for mid-May under mostly sunny skies. Much warmer weather will come our way starting on Monday, with valley highs warming close to 90 for the first time in 2014 by Thursday. -Jeff
